Java Vetiver

Java vetiver has a distinctly smoky, woody character that sets it apart from its Haitian and Indian cousins. Where Haitian vetiver leans clean and grapefruit-like, Java vetiver is denser and more rugged, with pronounced campfire-smoke notes, a deep earthiness, and a dry, almost ashy undertone. There is a beautiful bitterness to it, reminiscent of dark roasted coffee and charred wood, that gives it a raw, untamed quality. It is vetiver at its most primal and intense.
