Alberto Morillas
Alberto Morillas, born in 1950 in Seville, Spain, is a renowned master perfumer. He moved to Switzerland at age 10 and studied briefly at the École des Beaux Arts in Geneva. Largely self-taught, Morillas joined Firmenich in 1970 and has created nearly 7000 perfumes. His style is characterized by fluidity, transparency, and power, often combining natural and synthetic elements. Morillas is known for iconic fragrances like CK One (1994), Acqua di Giò (1996), and Flower by Kenzo (2000). He won the Prix François Coty in 2003 and received the Fragrance Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. Morillas also founded his own brand, Mizensir, offering candles and perfumes. His work is influenced by his Andalusian roots, particularly the scents of orange blossom, jasmine, and carnations from his childhood in Seville.
