Arnaud Poulain
Arnaud Poulain, born in 1986 in Arras, France, is a perfumer and founder of Les Eaux Primordiales. Raised in a family of artisans, Poulain initially studied mechanical engineering before discovering his passion for fragrances in 2007. He trained at Cinquième Sens in Paris, where he met his mentor Amélie Bourgeois. Poulain's unique background in science and engineering influences his perfumery style, which combines innovation with traditional craftsmanship. In 2015, he founded Les Eaux Primordiales, establishing a perfume manufacture near Arras. Poulain's creations are inspired by science, art, and his visual memory, often drawing from childhood reminiscences and emotions evoked by artworks. His fragrances, such as the Superclassique and Superfluide collections, blend classic perfumery codes with cutting-edge technologies. Poulain's work is characterized by its authenticity, inventiveness, and the fusion of natural and synthetic materials.
