Julie Pluchet
Julie Pluchet is a French perfumer who has made a significant impact in the British fragrance industry. Growing up in the French countryside, she was inspired by nature from an early age. Pluchet graduated with a Master's in Chemistry in 2003 and began her career as a chemist at Mane in Grasse. She later trained at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery under notable perfumers Max Gavarry and Isabelle Burdel. After working as a perfumer in Paris for five years, Pluchet moved to the UK in 2012 and joined CPL Aromas in 2014. Her style combines classic, nostalgic structures with a modern approach, creating harmonious and refined fragrances. Pluchet enjoys working with ingredients like cedarwood and orris for their powdery, natural, and elegant character. Her successful creations include Nude by Jasper Conran, Color Dreams by Franck Muller, and 41 Burlington Arcade by Atkinsons. In 2025, she created Highgrove Bouquet for Penhaligon's in collaboration with the Prince's Foundation. Pluchet's passion for dancing, particularly flamenco, often influences her approach to perfume creation.
