Laurent Le Guernec

Laurent Le Guernec is a French perfumer whose education combines chemistry studies at the University of Paris with training at ISIPCA in Versailles. Born near Paris, he spent part of his childhood in Grasse. His work at Laboratoire Monique Rémy deepened his familiarity with natural perfume materials, while Pierre Bourdon and Jean-Claude Ellena helped shape his craft.

His compositions connect classical French perfumery with a contemporary sensibility. Flowers, their colours and textures play an important role in his creative approach. His work includes Michael by Michael Kors and El Sireno for House of Bō.

For Scents of Wood, he created Vanilla in Bourbon, exploring vanilla through resinous and woody facets, with myrrh, guaiac wood and frankincense.
