
Olivier Cresp
Olivier Cresp, born in 1955 in Grasse, France, is a renowned master perfumer with a rich family heritage in the fragrance industry. He joined Firmenich in 1992 and became a Master Perfumer in 2006. Cresp is known for his minimalist, simple, and authentic approach to perfumery. His style often incorporates gourmand notes, as seen in his groundbreaking creation, Angel by Thierry Mugler (1992). Other notable fragrances include Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue (2001) and Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium (2014). Cresp has received numerous accolades, including the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in 2012 and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Fragrance Foundation in 2018. In 2018, he co-founded the niche brand Akro with his daughter Anaïs, exploring themes of addiction and life's pleasures in fragrance.
