Pia Long

Pia Long is a British perfumer with Finnish roots. She began her fragrance career as a teenager, working in cosmetics and fragrance retail. Long's journey in perfumery includes roles at Lush Cosmetics, where she created the popular 'HQ/29 High Street' fragrance, and later at Equinox Aromas and Orchadia. In 2016, she co-founded Olfiction, a fragrance consultancy, with Nick Gilbert. Long's perfumery style is described as 'magic realism', blending hyper-realistic elements with fantastical twists. She has created fragrances for brands such as Zoologist, Beaufort London, and Ford. Notable creations include 'Chipmunk' for Zoologist and 'Terror & Magnificence' for Beaufort London. Long is a member of the British Society of Perfumers and the Société Internationale des Parfumeurs-Créateurs, and contributes to industry publications like Perfumer & Flavorist.
